Spring Photography

Spring, my favourite time of year. The wood in which i live, is carpeted with wild bluebells, so beautiful! And I luckily photographed them just before they started to go over... I used my dad's Nikon D300 with a 50mm lens. I've never used it properly before, so I'm really happy with the results!

Light Art Photography

Several weeks ago at college, we got together in groups to create "light art"... In order to do this, we had to completely black out a room, and using little torches, and a camera on a long exposure we were able to capture our drawings. These are our outcomes... My friend Jake took all the photographs, on his Nikon D7000. It was a lot of fun, and am really pleased with the photographs!

Have you ever done light art photography before?

Diana F+ Trials... part 2

I just got some more film developed... what do you think? I like how in the photo above half the image is in a red filter, not to sure how that happened! But that's the beauty of the Diana cameras, you really have no idea what's going to come out... if you haven't seen my last posts on my Diana trials then look >here< and >here<

I cant wait to get my next lot of film developed

Diana F+ Trials... 120mm

Do you remember my post a few weeks ago about my Diana camera? Well if not have a look >here<. These  photographs were taken with 120mm film, so they're all square and are in black and white... they look quite spooky, but I like them. I really love going to the camera shop and collecting my little envelope of photographs, its very exciting because I have no clue what's going to come up, a really mystery! Do you have a film camera?

Picture of the week: Neighbours

source
Just my favourite picture of the week, these two colours lend themselves perfectly to each other. I wonder what the whole of the street looks like.

Portobello Road, London

Hmmm Portobello Road, I will live here someday, hopefully in the purple house with the ivy running up it. This whole street was so perfect, each house was painted such a tasteful colour. When can I move in?

Picture of the week: Haunted Doorway...

source
This haunting mysterious photo is rather appropriate as Halloween is tomorrow! The swirly ironwork looks a bit like a spiders web, yet very beautiful at the same time.

Have you got any plans for Halloween?

Kempton Market

Yesterday I got back from a lovely 3 days spent at my godmothers Louise’s house in Newbury, Berkshire, just 1 hour from London. We went to an amazing market called Kempton, which was filled with vintage things, such as trunks, bottles, clothes, telephones, dolls and mirrors.  The most popular item there was the trunks, all ranging in size and colour. They hold so must history and secrets too, where had they travelled too? And whom did they belong too? I’m definitely going to have to invest in one someday! The market stretched on for miles, and if you’re ever in the area you must must go!

More on my trip to London on Saturday...

Picture of the week: Up, up and away

source
Apologies, for last week as I missed doing picture of the week, I've been so busy with my college stuff, that I hardly have time to blog! What has the world come to?? Isn't this picture so whimsical? I love the idea of sitting in a little basket in a hot air balloon, I wonder if it would actually work? Oh, and if you look really closely there's a horse in the second balloon!

Hope you've had a good weekend, and an even better week!

Picture of the week: Warm Summer Evenings

Unfortunately summer is almost over, so for this weeks Picture of the Week I wanted to find the perfect summer picture...
source
These soft natural colours convey such a summery vibe, I can feel the warmth coming of the picture. Oh, and I love her flower garland in her hair, so beautiful!

Do you feel inspired?
