Friday's Fancies #38 Elie Saab

This is one of my favourite dresses of Elie Saabs new spring/summer 2012 ready to wear collection. I love the sparkly jewels that cover the royal blue tulle, and the elegant v neck line is simply gorgeous! Imagine wearing this dress...

Explore the Unknown...

For graphics illustration week at college i made a little book to paint my travels and adventures into... You may notice that i used the girl for my header too. To create this I painted a girl in watercolour and on another piece of paper I painted a some leaves. Then using photoshop I merged them together altering the layer blends and adding text. I then printed onto really nice brown card (LOVE brown card), and cut up some watercolour paper to be bound inside the book. I've filled it with fantasy landscapes... but my idea was that one would use it as a personal scrapbook, painting and placing photographs of all the unknown places they'd explored...

Friday's Fancies #37

I can feel spring in the air... the birds have started singing and the daffodils shoots have sprung up in the garden! Although I do love the winter, with winter walks and warm knitted jumpers, the spring has to be my favourite time of year! All the new spring 2012 collections are out in the shops, as exhibited above, which is getting me very excited! I haven't done a Friday's fancies in a while, and am happy to be back on it. Art Exhibition...

Over the last several weeks at college, we've been focusing on each pathway for 2 weeks. 3D, fashion and textiles, Fine Art and graphics Illustration. We looked at artists, explored methods, techniques and processes and then concluded with a final outcome in response to that pathway. And tomorrow we are holding an exhibition of all our pathway work! My teacher was in need of someone to design a poster for the exhibition, so i offered my services, and here are the posters I designed... I hope you like them! We couldn't choose which one poster to put up around the college so all four have gone round!

My mum has a huge collection of buttons, much like the ones above.  And I can always remember when I was really little, sorting them  into little button groups, big buttons, small buttons, pink buttons and spotty buttons etc etc... Mmmm I love buttons! Do you?

New Look...

Hello, to all my lovely followers. Like I said in my last post of 2011, I was going to have a little facelift, and so I have... What do you think? I've played around with lots of designs, but I've decided on this one, its a little bit different although I've gone for a person again. But, this time I painted the girl using watercolour. Please tell me what you think, I'd love to know your thoughts (negative or positive) !
