Tea Cups for Georgia...

Yesterday it was my best friend, Georgia's 16th Birthday! So, I painted this especially for her. It goes very well in her pretty little bedroom, where another one of my paintings is hanging on the wall! Georgia is a very special friend and I love her to bits, and it was very important to me to make her an extra special painting as I hope when she looks at it, it will remind her of all the fabulous times we've had together over the last 5 years! Happy birthday Georgia!!

Friday's Fancies #11

Its Friday again, and that only means one thing...Friday's Fancies! This week I've put together an outfit a little different to my usual styling, I've gone for very bright, clashing colours.  I'm not to sure whether I'd be brave enough to wear all these colours at one time, but I think they look really great on people who do. What are your thoughts?? I love to ride my Bicycle

Today I went on a lovely bike ride with my friends to a place called Crow Point on the estuary. It was really nice to go, and going on lots of bike rides is on my summer bucket list! However, I realised that I am in desperate need of a new bike. Mine is very old, (but not in a good vintage way) and rusty. So I've put together some images of bicycles that I am dreaming about and also its my birthday in August, so maybe my parents will get the hint! :)

Friday's Fancies #10

This weekend Goldcoast Oceanfest is taking place in Croyde, it happens every year, with life music and lots of stoles and surf competitions. I'm going again this year and so I've put together a "Festival" inspired outfit! The weather over here is not so nice so I'm going to definitely have to wear my wellies :( But oh well I'm sure it will be worth it. This year Ben Howard is playing again which I can't wait for! And Seasick Steve is headlining so that should be interesting!

Long Distance loving

A little treat...

After featuring Sascalia last week I decided to buy some of her prints! And let me tell you they are even more magical in person! I bought the three below, the "Whimsical Birds" and the "Scarlet Fairy" for me and the "Dream Mermaid" for my little sister Alice. I think I might start collecting them, as they are just so lovely!!

My Summer Bucket List...

Today I have decided to join Cornflake Dreams in making my very own "Bucket List"

This is just a shortened list of what I'm planning to do this very long summer (9 weeks!!!) I can't wait to start doing lots of art again, as I've had a very long break doing boring revision, and also I really want to make some colourful cushions like these ones from Huset, so lovely!

Every end is a new beginning...

After months of intense revision, and weeks of exams, I've finally finished all exams and school forever!!! I'm so happy and really excited to getting into all my arty stuff again. I'm planning to do lots of paintings to sell on my Etsy site and I'm designing my Dads new website. Very exciting stuff! And then in September I start college, there I will be doing the "Art & Design extended diploma", basically two lovely years of jam packed ART!

I don't think I could ask for anything better :)

I only have 1 more exam now (so happy)! And it was our last official day at school today. So I thought I should put together a "Preppy" outfit for this weeks Fridays fancies over at Long Distance Loving! Winding Staircase

This winding wrought iron staircase reminds of an eye, with the spectacular blue iris and the tiny black pupil at the very top of the stairs. I think the composition of the stairs swooping across the lower half the image really adds impact and I'm completely inspired. This is the kind of staircase that I'd love in my future home!

Don't you just love this quirky armchair with the mountain of colourful cuchions on top?? Things like this makes me smile :) I think I'll have a look through the fabric cupboard and perhaps make my own!

Breaking Dawn!

Although I had a really difficult Maths exam today, I'm reallly happy. This is because Breaking Dawn Official trailer has been released!!!! Arhhhhhh :D I'm very excited to see what Bella's wedding dress is like and of course to see Robert Pattinson on the big screen! What aspects of Breaking Dawn are you looking forward too?? I'd love to hear them.

Friday's Fancies #8

I'm feeling really happy today, as my computer is back, the weather has been absolutely beautiful (25 degrees) and I spent a really lovely day with my best friend Georgia, shopping!

A Splash of Colour!

I'm so sorry for my absence, my coputer crashed and has been in the computer hospital for the last couple of days :( But I've been lent this very slow but workable laptop for the time being! Its been really strange not being able to have access to the internet, what did anyone do before computers???

I absolutly LOVE colour, and I love everything in this photograph; the painting in the background lends it self very well to the beautiful vibrant flowers in the foreground, it looks all so lovely!
